Dedication of Hermes Landing

On October 17, 2023 Racine County held the dedication of Hermes Landing at Eagle Lake County Park. The boat launch was completely rebuilt with 2 new launch lanes, pier, seawall, concrete sidewalks, benches surrounded by all new landscaping. Don Hermes has been a fixture of the Eagle Lake community all his life. He has been an amazing steward of Eagle Lake and still continues to serve on the Lake District Board as well as other committees such as the ever popular annual fireworks & "ring of fire" event (shoreline flares). Eagle Lake is very lucky to have Don. Many years ago he earned the nickname of "Mr Eagle Lake". This is a very deserving and fitting dedication - CONGRATULATIONS Don!
