Information about Blue-Green Algae

Unfortunately ever year outbreaks of blue-green algae occur in Eagle Lake. These blooms can be found on shorelines, typically starting in July and lasting into the fall. Being a shallow, nutrient-rich lake, we are very susceptible to these blooms. Blue-green algae is actually not an algae but a bacteria. For more information please click to read more.

Eagle Lake is a 529 acre lake located in the Town of Dover, Racine County, Wisconsin. Visitors have access to the lake from two public boat launches, Eagle Lake County Park and the Town of Dover launch.
